Biologist, Small Mammal House
Kenton Kerns started as a keeper at the National Zoo’s Small Mammal House in 2007 after receiving his undergraduate degree in Biology from American University and a master’s degree from George Mason University. He has a close relationship with the Golden Lion Tamarin Species Survival Program and was able to travel to Brazil to participate in GLT conservation in the wild. He currently sites on the Board of Directors of Save the Golden Lion Tamarin, the US non-profit that fundraises to support tamarin conservation in Brazil.
