The Washington Youth Summit on the Environment continues to welcome world-renowned, award-winning speakers who are experts in the fields of environmental conservation and sustainability year after year. Our speakers offer unparalleled advice based on real-world experiences both inside and outside of the field, creating a unique once-in-a-lifetime experience.
GO BEHIND THE SCENES
Through visits to select field sites, students experience first-hand what it’s like to pursue an environmental career. Students gain access to staff-only locations within these sites and can connect directly with scientists and environmental managers through our unique partnerships with these organizations.
GET IN ON THE ACTION
Students experience the Summit in small groups led by Faculty Advisors who are experts in the environmental field. Faculty Advisors guide students through the Summit and work closely with their student group throughout the week. They also guide students through role-playing exercises, putting them in the role of decision-makers as they work to solve some of the world’s toughest environmental issues.

The WYSE schedule is intense! It packs in the program speakers, field visits, simulation, and group discussions so that students get the most out of their time with us.
It is important for students to get the rest they need at night and be prompt and present during the day. The week is nonstop, but our alumni say it’s worth it!
