ERIN TEMPEL

Erin Tempel is a busy junior at Lamar High School, where she is an active member of her local FFA chapter, participates in taking college level courses in animal science, edits and writes for her school’s broadcasting class, and plays golf. As a student with autism, Erin also pushes herself to understand the world around her and to make sense of the connection between animals and humans. When not in school, Erin can be found showing her registered show cattle at local livestock competitions, traveling to new places to explore history and languages, and trying her skills at making new culinary dishes. Erin enjoyed her experience attending WYSE during the summer of 2022 and is excited to be part of the Youth Advisory Board. Erin lives with her parents on a farm in Southeastern Colorado on the Great Plains where she helps her family produce crops and livestock.
