LAUREN NOVORSKA

Junior Faculty Advisor

Lauren Novorska is going to be studying Ecosystem Science and Policy at the University of Miami in the fall.  Lauren attended the 2021 WYSE Conference and absolutely loved the experience! She is passionate about human-wildlife conflict, climate change, and educating students about ecological issues. She volunteers as a Mentor Volunteer for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay and completed her Girl Scout Gold Award on “Advocacy for Animals.” Lauren leads a service organization called Lend a Paw at her school to help get students involved in animal welfare issues and community service, and is a part of the CARE club. She also serves as a member of the Conservation Nation and WYSE Youth Advisory Boards. Lauren hopes to be a part of everglades and Florida ecosystem conservation projects and work on educating people about conservation and how they can take action to help save our species. In the future, she would like to pursue environmental law and policy!
