Jeff Fusco

JEFF FUSCO

Counselor

Jeff is the Associate Director of Regional Admissions at George Mason University and is remotely based out of Orlando, FL. He has worked at Mason since 2018 and primarily recruits students from the Southeast United States. Originally from Western Massachusetts, Jeff attended GMU as an out-of-state student and graduated with his B.A. in Communication in 2013. After graduating he moved to Florida and received his Master’s degree in Curriculum Development from the University of South Florida in 2015. In his free time, Jeff enjoys going to concerts, traveling, exploring theme parks, distance running and spending time with his dog, Bailey.

Student Support

Eddi lives in Greensboro, North Carolina and attended The University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she majored in Elementary Education and held a concentration in Linguistics and Communication Studies. She has been a classroom teacher for 15 years and has been an Instructional Coach for four years. She will begin a new role as a Curriculum Facilitator in August of the upcoming school year and is excited to begin that journey. She believes that education is the most vital tool in a person’s life and believes it is a privilege to be a part of expanding student’s paths this summer through experiential learning. She feels honored to be a part of WYSE at George Mason University!

Halli Harwood

HALLI HARWOOD

Halli Harwood is excited to be a 2026 graduate of Elon University with a Bachelor of Arts in strategic communications and a minor in business administration. After attending WJMC in 2021, serving as an intern in 2022, yellow group’s JFA in 2024, and on the advance team last summer, Halli is excited to once again join the WSP staff as a member of the advance team. During her time at Elon, Halli served as assistant agency director of Live Oak Communications, Elon’s student run PR and advertising agency, as a School of Communications student ambassador, and has had her undergraduate research on the cruising industry published. In September, Halli is moving to Australia on a working holiday visa to work and travel Down Under for a few years!

Sofia Cochis

Sofia Cochis is the Event Coordinator in the Office of Admissions at George Mason University. In Spring 2024, Sofia earned her BA in Communication with a focus in Public Relations and Event Management at Virginia Tech. She is currently pursuing an MS in Management at George Mason University. On Sofia’s free time, she is likely on a hike, trying a new local coffee shop, playing trivia, or watching Hokie football and basketball games.

Sofia Cochis is the Event Coordinator in the Office of Admissions at George Mason University. Katelyn Verbosky is a member of the Advance Team for WYSE and WJMC this Summer. As a returning member to the Advance Team she is excited to be back. She is currently in nursing school working towards her RN license. Katelyn was previously on the George Mason’s Women’s Club Ice Hockey Team, and she still enjoys a good scrimmage game and ice skating. She also enjoys listening to music, fishing, painting, and going on hikes.

Abigail is a junior at Charleston Catholic High School in Charleston, West Virginia. She
participates in Quizbowl, the Science Olympiad, and both school and travel volleyball.
She first began appreciating the environment while studying ecosystems in school
and loving their complexities. Her experience with WYSE in 2024 only reinforced her
love of the natural world and its inhabitants, and she is honored to be able to help
the program! She hopes to graduate high school in 2026 and go to college to
manage the financial aspect of the movement to help the environment!

Sarah is an incoming sophomore at the George Washington University, majoring in International Affairs with double concentrations in Environmental Studies and Security Politics. She is involved on campus through mock trial, fostering community as her residential hall president, and in her free time, training for her next half marathon. She is on track to study abroad through the Global Bachelor’s program where she will study abroad in three separate countries in three semesters, starting with Singapore in the spring. She has explored the politics of Agriculture, sustainable agriculture practices, and the intersection of resource and climate security. Sarah can not wait to empower delegates as they continue their journeys learning to make the world a better place!

Ella is going into her second year at the University of California Santa Barbara where she is majoring in marine sciences and minoring in statistical and data science. In her free time, Ella enjoys scuba diving in the kelp forests off the coast and serving on the staff of UCSB’s scuba and freedive club. She also works in a lab on campus identifying tropical reef fish from video surveys and collecting bite rate data. Bryce is a senior at Armstrong High School in Minnesota. He loves the outdoors and is passionate about wildlife photography. Bryce also owns a clothing brand called Project Endangered, which partners with conservation organizations to help save endangered species worldwide. After attending WYSE in 2024, Bryce is excited to return as an intern in 2025 and help new students have as much fun as he did.

Anjelica Lewis

Anjelica is a rising sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh. She has a major in environmental science with GIS and sustainability certificates. WYSE was where her initial inspiration and decision to pursue an environmental career started. Her favorite memory of the summit as a delegate was visiting Mason Neck State Park and learning about the native wildlife and importance of biodiversity. On campus, she is involved with various sustainability clubs such as green team and conservation club. She strives for community outreach of sustainable practices, with a recent focus on compost education. In her free time, she enjoys running and training for races with Pitt’s run club. She is very excited to come back to the place that started her passion for the environment and hopes to inspire other delegates the same way!
