KELLY CARDEW
Kelly Cardew is the Associate Director of Admissions at George Mason University. Kelly received her B.A. in English from Newberry College in 2017, worked in the admissions office at Newberry upon graduation and began working at Mason in the summer of 2018. During her time at Mason, Kelly has recruited and worked with prospective students in various states, oversees the office’s telecounseling team and serves as the liaision to the Mason Athletics program to support recruited student-athletes applications. Kelly received her M.A. in Higher Education from George Mason this past May.

Kelly Cardew is the Associate Director of Admissions at George Mason University. Camille has always been passionate about sustainability, beginning as a young child with visits to local outdoor spaces. In 2019, she co-founded GreenTeenz RVA, a youth-led nonprofit organization based in her hometown of Richmond, Virginia that works to provide educational and volunteer opportunities to Richmond youth. She also was a delegate during WYSE 2021, which further fueled her passions. Now a rising sophomore at Loyola University Chicago majoring in Environmental Policy, her dedication to solving environmental problems has never wavered. She looks forward to meeting everyone and growing together at WYSE 2024!
Allison is the Assistant Director of Outreach Events and Programs in the Office of Admissions at George Mason University. A proud (almost) double Patriot, she is both a George Mason and Washington Journalism and Media Conference (WJMC) alumna. Allison earned her B.A. in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations in Spring 2023 and is currently pursuing her M.A. in Strategic Communication. Outside of work and graduate school, you’ll find her at rock concerts, on a yoga mat, nurturing her plant collection, or finding the best new brunch spots in town.
Victoria attended WYSE in 2022. She is currently going into her sophomore year at Duke University where she is pursuing a degree in Marine Science and
Laney is from Douglas, Georgia. She has recently graduated with her associate’s degree from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and is excited to continue her college education at a new school. Laney plans to pursue a career in social media marketing, with hopes to tie in conservation and environmentalism, her first passion. She attended WYSE in 2022, was a member of the Youth Advisory Board in 2023, and a JFA in 2024. She is so excited to be back with WYSE again!
Julia is a Junior at George Mason University pursuing a B.S. in Environmental Science
A professional photographer with over 25 years of experience, Rafael has covered a huge gamut of events in the DC area. Ranging from private events of all sizes to Supreme Court nomination hearings, Rafael has covered it all. Specializing in college and professional sports, Rafael is currently the staff athletics photographer for both George Mason and Georgetown universities and has worked directly with every professional sports team in Washington, DC.
