Rosa Wolf

Junior Faculty Advisor

Rosa Wolf is the loudest and proudest fighting Texas A&M Aggie of the class of 2019. She is currently studying Ocean and Coastal Resources at Texas A&M University at Galveston and is currently working as a resident assistant as well as volunteer with the Galveston Humane Society and the Texas Marine Mammal stranding network. During the summer of 2013, Rosa attended WYSE. This experience deepened her passion for sharing her concern and love about the environment and animals. She is excited to meet and get to know all of the new delegates for this year’s summit!

Brianna Wagner

Junior Faculty Advisor

Brianna Wagner is currently a junior at Rogers State University in Claremore Oklahoma studying Environmental Conservation. She has grown up on a family farm where conservation was a top priority and she was raised alongside many dogs, cats, horses, and cattle. Brianna has traveled to Australia and the United Kingdom in 2007 and 2009 as part of the People to People student ambassador program as well as attending the Washington Youth Summit on the Environment as a delegate in 2012. She was honored to return to WYSE in 2015 and 2016 as a junior faculty advisor and is thrilled to be returning again this year!

Dominic Straquadine

Junior Faculty Advisor

Dominic Straquadine is a senior at George Mason University, majoring in Environmental & Sustainability Studies with a concentration in Environmental Policy & Politics. Dominic has been heavily involved in sustainability affairs at Mason with volunteering at the Presidents Park Greenhouse, and the Innovation Food Forest, attending meetings with the Virginia Student Environmental Coalition, and being a member of the Environment & Sustainability Living Learning Community (LLC). During his time with the LLC, he has assisted in the organization of the 2017 and 2018 LLC Showcase, as well as manage the sustainability facet of the 2016 Rappahannock Neighborhood Council year-end party. In 2017, Dominic received the Student of the Year award from Keep Ohio Beautiful, an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. In 2016 and 2017, he served as an intern with Marion County Recycling & Litter Prevention in Marion, Ohio. Dominic has also served as a Junior Faculty Advisor in 2016 and 2017, as well as an intern with the Washington Scholars Program. Dominic is looking forward to meeting this year’s delegates!

Lauren Slusher

Junior Faculty Advisor

Lauren Slusher is a senior at North Carolina State University majoring in history. Lauren was an intern for WYSE in 2014 and a junior faculty advisor in 2015 and 2016. She is Vice President of the History Club at NCSU and a member of the National Society for Leadership and Success. Lauren is also a charter member of Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Serena Seiler

SERENA SEILER

Junior Faculty Advisor

Serena Seiler is a senior majoring in Environmental and Sustainability Studies with a concentration in Conservation and Sustainability and a minor in Conservation Biology. She’s a WYSE 2015 alumni and has worked the conference for the last 4 years. On campus, she works in the Admissions office as a tele-counseling supervisor, a Mason ambassador, and is a member of GOGA (GMU Organic Gardening Association). She just finished a semester at the Smithsonian Conservation and Biology Institute (SCBI) where she had the chance to work side by side with a professional in the conservation field, specifically animal care of the endangered ungulates. Outside of academics, she volunteers in the National Zoo as a keeper aide in Amazonia. When she graduates this coming spring, she plans to join the Peace Corps and serve for two years, then pursue a career in animal conservation. She’s so excited for WYSE 2019, and can’t wait to meet all the delegates this year!

Diego Posada

Junior Faculty Advisor

Born in Knoxville Tennessee in foothills of Great Smoky Mountains National Park Diego Posada was exposed to wildlife and conservation at an early age. Through his experience in various volunteer opportunities and his own time out in nature he knew he wanted to seek a career that kept him outdoors. Diego graduated High school in Gainesville, FL while dual enrolling at Santa Fe College to complete his AA. It was during his high school career that he attended WYSE in 2012 and has since served on the Youth Advisory Board and came back for WYSE 2016 as a Junior Faculty advisor.

Currently working in the Methods and Biological control bureau of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services: Division of Plant Industry, Diego has taken an interest in the future of agriculture in the United States and more importantly in Florida. He currently works on the program that mass rears Tamarixia Radiata, tiny parasitic wasps that parasitize Asian Citrus Psyllid, that are sent to researchers and growers in order to find a cure for Citrus Green Greening. Diego hopes that WYSE will be an eye opening experience for you and allow you to see what opportunities are available in the future of environmental studies

Suhey Ortega

Junior Faculty Advisor

Suhey is currently a sophomore at Arizona State University studying Nonprofit Leadership & Management with two minors in Sustainability and Transborder Chican/Latin Studies. Suhey attended WYSE in 2014 as a junior in high school to which she gives credit to her passion in saving the planet now. Suhey hopes to bridge the gap between underrepresented groups who don’t have the availability to enjoy nature. Suhey enjoys hiking, trying new vegetarian/vegan restaurants, and reading

Rebekah Molnar

Junior Faculty Advisor

Rebekah Molnar is a senior at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. She will be graduating this December with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Zoology, and is currently on track to graduate summa cum laude. Rebekah has always had a passion for the environment and animals, and that love was further deepened when she attended the Washington Youth Summit on the Environment as a delegate in 2013. In high school, she was president of the science club and volunteered in the local watershed among many other involvements in both church and school. In Rebekah’s free time, she enjoys photography, spending time outside, reading, softball, making music, and playing with her animals. Rebekah is incredibly excited to help others fuel their love for nature and the environment.

Abigail Loughlin

Junior Faculty Advisor

Abigail Loughlin is a college student from Jersey City, New Jersey. She attends George Mason University where she is a rising junior with a Global Affairs major, with a concentration in the Environment. When not writing papers in the library or in class, she can be found tending to a garden or kayaking. As a WYSE alumni, Abigail is ecstatic to be joining the Junior Faculty Advisor team this summer!

Caitlin Wall

CAITLIN WALL

Faculty Advisor

Caitlin is currently directing Potomac Conservancy’s Policy program in Maryland, Virginia, and D.C, working to empower a local clean water movement through grassroots engagement and advocacy efforts. She previously worked at Marstel-Day, LLC, leading policy efforts to develop compatible use partnerships between military installations and communities and conducting studies on environmental challenges facing the military. Caitlin earned a B.A. from the College of William and Mary in public policy and environmental studies and an M.A. from Colorado State University in political science. She is a Senior Fellow in the Environmental Leadership Program, is an RYT 200 certified yoga instructor, and enjoys hiking, camping, and triathlons.
